Gurudwara Sri Zaharaa Zahoor Sahib, Hoshiarpur

Gurudwara Sri Zahara Zahoor Sahib is situated in outskirts of the Hoshiarpur city. At this place Sri Guru HarGobind Sahib ji, while going from Gurudwara garna Sahib to Kiratpur Sahib, took rest while hunting for a lion. Here a muslim priest served & took care of Guru ji. Guru Sahib gave a boon to the priest that people would pray you by the name of Zahara peer. A well is present here since the time of Guru Sahib.

This Gurdwara is situated in Village Pur Hiran which is located on outskirts of Hoshiarpur City at a distance of about 2.5 Km from Hoshiarpur Railway Station.

The Sixth Sikh Guru, Shri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji stayed at this place for hunting a Lion, while on his way from Gurdwara Garna Sahib to Kiratpur sahib. A Muslim Priest served Guru Ji with devotion. Guru blessed him that people would worship you by the name of Zahara Zahoor Peer. A Well of Guru Ji’s time is still present here.
