Gurudwara Sri Jamni Sahib,Ferozepur

It is said that a farmer borrowed money from a lender using the Guru’s name as a guarantee.

Unfortunately, the farmer passed away without repaying the debt and brought the Guru’s name into disrepute.

The farmer became a Teetar (Grey Francolin) bird in his next life while the lender became a Baaz (Hawk).

When Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji visited this place, after the Battle of Muktsar Sahib, the Baaz killed the Teetar to settle the debt and clear Guru Gobind Singh’s obligation.

Guru Gobind Singh’s horse was tied to the Jand tree, which still exists in the Gurdwara complex.

When Guru Ji’s horse stamped on the ground water appeared, this is now marked by the sarovar.
