Gurudwara Shahidan – Urapar

This Gurdwara is situated at a distance of 17 Km from Nawanshahr, 17 Km from Phillaur and 15 Km from Banga on Nawanshahr-Phillaur Road in Village Urapar.

In 1711, Baba Banda Singh Bahadur alongwith Khalsa Army fought a battle against Mughal army being led by Shamas Khan. The battle was won by the Khalsa army. The Sikh soldiers who won martyrdom were cremated at the place where now Gurdwara Shahidan is situated.

This Gurdwara Sri Shaheedan Sahib Urapar is situated, midway between Phillaur and Nawanshahr, 18 km’s along the Phillaur-Nawanshahr Road in Urapar village.
