Gurudwara Gurusar Sahib – Lall Kalan

This Gurdwara is situated at a distance of 10 Km West of town Samrala, 5 Km from Doraha Railway Station, 0.5 Km from Nilopul (which is on Chandigarh-Ludhiana Highway) and 2 Km from Gurdwara Patshahi X, Ghulal in Village Lall Kalan.

When Tenth Sikh Guru, Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji alongwith Bhai Ghani Khan, Bhai Nabi Khan and three Sikhs reached Village Lall Kalan, they were stopped by a group of Mughal forces. Sayyid Pir Muhammad of Nurpur, who was present at this place, assured the chief of Mughal forces that the Person in the Palaquin was ‘Uchch Da Pir’. But the chief was not satisfied. He invited the Pir and his followers for food, thinking Sikhs would not dine with Muslims. But Guru Ji said that he was on a long fast, but sent two Sikhs Bhai Daya Singh and Bhai Mani Singh to take food after offering it to Holy Kirpan (a small sword). Next Morning they were allowed to resume their journey.
