Gurdwara Nim Sahib Patshahi Nauvin – Aakar
This Gurdwara is situated at a distance of 4 Km from Kauli Railway Station on Sirhind-Rajpura Road in Village Akar.
The Ninth Sikh Guru, Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji visited this place during his journey of Malwa region. He rested under a Neem (Margosa) tree. The leaves of the tree are bitter in taste except one branch which leans over the Gurdwara. Guru Ji had pulled a twig from this branch to cleanse his teeth.
Gurdwara Sri Nim Sahib is situated outside Aakar village in the Fatehgarh Sahib district.
Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji travelled from Ugani, Naulakha, Jakhwali, Tehlpura, Aakar, Lang and Chalela during part of Guru Sahib’s tour of the Malwa region.
Along with Guru Tegh Bahadur was Mata Gujri, Mata Nanaki, Mata Nanaki, Bhai Lakhi Shah Vanjara and other Sikhs.
Guru Tegh Bahadur rested here under a Nim (Neem) tree in afternoon. The Nim has very sour leaves but the leaves of the branch under which Guru Tegh Bahadur sat were no longer sour.
From here Guru Tegh Bahadur went to the villages of Lang and Chalela.
