The Tenth Sikh Guru, Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji visited this place while coming from Alamgir (in Ludhiana District) and going to Mukatsar in 1705. Guru Ji left this place after sometime and went to Village Dhilwan kalan.
In 1706, Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji visited Kot Kapura while travelling to Muktsar Sahib from Alamgir (in Ludhiana district).
At Kot Kapura, Guru Gobind Singh asked Chaudhri Kapura (the founder of Kot Kapura) to let Guru Ji use his fort to fight the mughals, but Kapura refused to help.
Guru Gobind Singh left after some time and travelled onwards to village Dhilwan Kalan nearby where Kaul Sodhi lived. Kaul Sodhi was a descendant of Prithi Chand (who was Sri Guru Arjan Sahib Ji’s elder brother).
