Gurdwara Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib, Garhmukteshwar is associated with the Ninth Guru, Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib ji who came here while returning from Assam. According to local belief, Raja Nakh had been cursed by Rambha, a celestial being, and had been turned into a snake. This snake was residing in the Nakh Kuan. Guru Tegh Bahadur ji emancipated this snake and removed Rambha's curse. The Gurdwara is under the management of the Shiromani Gurdwara Prabhandak Committee. The main gurpurab celebrated here is the martyrdom day of Guru Tegh Bahadur ji. Besides, on amavsya every month, about 400 to 500 Devotees come from surrounding areas and gather here
