Gurudwara Sri Janam Asthaan Sri Guru Amar Das ji is situated in the Basarke Village in Amritsar Distt. Sri Guru Amar Das was born here to Sri Tej Bhan and Mata Sulakhni ji. For long time Guru Amar Das ji used to go for Ganga Yatra. When Guru Sahib heard Guru Nanak Dev Sahib's hyms from Bibi Amro ji, Guru Sahib inquired about. So Guru Sahib went to Khadoor Sahib and served Sri Guru Angad Dev ji for 12 years. Guru Amar Das used to bring water for Bath of then Sri Guru Angad Dev ji from Goindwal Sahib.
