Gurudwara Jhari Sahib at Tergay, Distt Kasur

Village Tergay is situated on the Kasur-Qadiwind road, about one kilometer east of Village Qadiwind. This sacred place holds great historical significance due to the visit of Sat Gur Amar Das Ji. When he was traveling to Kasur, the residents of Village Tergay welcomed him warmly and requested him to stay. Sat Gur Amar Das Ji graciously agreed and stayed there, leading to the construction of a small Gurdwara.

Nearby, there used to be a cluster of trees where Sat Gur tied his horse, although these trees have since withered away. The Gurdwara was supported by a land grant of 2.5 ghumaon from Bhai Sulakhan Singh of Qadiwind and an additional 2.5 ghumaon from the villagers. A fair is held annually on Vaisakhi to honor this sacred place.

It is important to note that the Gurdwara’s current location is about 1.5 kilometers from its original site. The building, situated in an open field, is now in a state of severe disrepair and is at risk of collapse. Efforts are urgently needed to preserve and restore this important cultural and historical landmark.
