Gurudwara Mata Bhag Kaur Ji Muktsar

This Gurdwara is near Gurdwara Shri Tambu Sahib in Mukatsar City.

This Gurdwara is in the memory of Mata Mai Bhago Ji who had motivated 40 Sikhs to rejoin Tenth Sikh Guru, Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji and had led them in the battle of ‘Khidrane Dee Dhab in 1705. In that battle all the 40 Sikhs won martyrdom, while Mata Ji got seriously injured. She got 22 wounds on her body, but survived. She fought by carrying a weapon weighing 11 Kg. By Guru Ji’s grace she became healthy and continued to serve Guru Ji for many Years. She went to Nanded (in Maharashtra) with guru Ji where she breathed her last.
