When Jahangir handed over Chandu to Guru HarGobind Sahib, he visited this place along with Chandu. Guru HarGobind Ji also made his forst halt here, when he set free Bibi Kaulan, the daughter of a Qazi, on the asking of Mian Mir. During this very visit, the Guru commenced the construction work at the Shahidi Asthan of Guru Arjan Dev Ji. Maharaja Ranjit Singh got built a Gurdwara at Muzang. In A.D. 1926, by the zeal of late S.Mehar Singh, the present hall came into existence. Daily congregations were held. At first, the local committee managed this Shrine which in A.D. 1927 was taken over by the S.G.P.C.
Guru Hargobind Ji came to Lahore in 1619 AD with Diwan Chandu. It was from here that h asked Gur Premi (lover and devotee) Bibi Kaulan to ride his horse. The shrine is on Temple road i Mozang. The initial building of this sacred place was built by Maharaja Ranjit Singh. It was shifted the resent building in 1926 AD through the courtesy of late Sardar Mehar Singh. Congregation w held daily, Shiromni Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee remained in charge of its maintenance fr 1927 to 1947 and at present it is in the custody of Waqf Board. Nine Shops inside the building Gurdwara sahib are endowed to it. An Akhand Patth (complete recitation) is done on the birt anniversary of Gur Dev Ji. Its. doors are ever open for the Sangat.
