Gurdwara Patshahi Sixth Sahib, Pilibhit is associated with the Sixth Guru, Guru HarGobind Sahib ji. Guru ji had come to Nanak Mata on the request of Baba Almast who had sent a message for help to evict the yogis from Nanak Mata. The yogis ran away from Nanak Mata and complained to the local ruler, Baaj Bahadur, against the Guru. The enraged ruler came out to fight Guru Sahib. But when he met Guru ji, he realized that it was the same Guru who had helped secure his release from the Gwalior fort prison along with fifty two other kings. He fell at the Guru's feet and begged pardon. He then brought Guru ji to his capital, Pilibhit, where he served the Guru whole heartedly. The birthdays of Guru Nank Devji, Guru HarGobind ji and Guru Gobind Singh ji are the main gurpurabs celebrated here.
