Gurudwara Shri Baggsar Sahib Patshahi Dasvin

This Gurdwara is situated at a distance of 26 Km South of Bathinda City and 11 Km from town Sangat on Bathinda-Dabwali Road in Village Jassi Bagwali.

The Tenth Sikh Guru, Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji visited this Place in 1706, while on his way from Mukatsar City to Talwandi Sabo through Lakhi Jungle. A small Pond existed at this place. When Guru Ji crossed the Pond riding on his horse, the horse and the dark Brown dress of Guru Ji turned White. When followers asked about it, Guru Ji told them that this is a pilgrim place which was visited by Lord Rama during his fight with his sons Luv and Kush. Guru Ji blessed this Pond by saying that whosoever will take bath here, all his sins would wash. That Pond has been converted into a Sarovar. Guru Ji stayed here under a tree for 10 Days. The people of this Village offered Gur (Jaggery) to Guru Ji. Since White is known as Bagg in Punjabi, hence the name of the Gurdwara.

A samadh of Rama Nand is also situated at this place. Rama Nand was known to be a follower of Devrishi Narad (Rishi of Devtas) and he is said to have meditated at this place.
