Gurudwara Sri Chaura Khooh Sahib is situated the Phagwara city, district Kapurthala. After winning the battle at Kartarpur and plahi, Sri Guru HarGobind Sahib ji came here to resi of phagu, a great Devotee of Guru Sahib. But when Phagu came to know that Guru Sahib had come here after fight with mughals and thought that mughals might be following him also, he was frightned and didnt served Guru Sahib. Guru Sahib said "phagu da wada, bahron mitha andro khara" then Guru Sahib went to the place where Gurudwara Sri Sukhchainana Sahib is situated and rested under tree.
After winning the battle at Kartarpur and Plahi, Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji came here to meet a man called Phagu who used to serve Guru Ji.
When Phagu heard that Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji had come after a battle with the mughals he became scared and thought the mughals might be following Guru Ji.
Phagu, fearing his life, refused to serve Guru Ji.
Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji said, "Phagu da wada, bahron mitha, andro khara". When roughly translates as Phagu was sweet on the outside but sour on the inside'.
From here Guru Hargobind travelled to where Gurdwara Sri Sukhchain Sahib is situated and rested under tree.
