Gurudwara Damdama Sahib- Guru ki Wadali is situated in the Guru ki Wadali Village in Amritsar district. Its a holy place where Guru arjun Dev ji started the five harat. With time Guru HarGobind ji along with thousands of sikhs, came for a visit & also Gurudwara chehhrata Sahib where he took bath & had a congregation. The followers from Guru ki wadali requested that a pig disturbs them a lot. Guru ji sent painde khan to chase the pig . The pig hit painde khan's horse & made him to fall. Guru ji laughed & said " you could not kill a pig. Let me chase it ". Guru ji challenged the pig & it ran directly towards Guru ji. Guru ji stopped the attack with a shield, stood on one side of the stirrup & attacked the pig following which the pig was split in two halves. A lighting came out of pig's mouth for which Bhai bhaana ji asked Guru ji & Guru ji said that it was a sikh who was cursed by your father, Baba budda ji, he has been offered salvation.

Mata ganga ji came on carts to Baba budda Sahib ji in order to get blessed with a son. Baba budda Sahib ji asked that who is coming. A sikh replied that " Guru ke Mahal " are coming. Then Baba ji said that where are " Guru ke Mahal" coming in a haste from. Sikh replied that " Guru ke Mahal " are coming to meet you but why are you speaking bitter words. Baba ji said " its i who knows or the Guru who knows it, why are you acting like a pig? ". On hearing Baba ji's words, Mata ji went back to Amritsar. On being explained by Guru arjun Dev ji, Mata ji again went to Baba budda Sahib ji humbly by foot. Baba ji gave a son's blessing to Mata ganga ji. That sikh requested that your wordings would not blank, when would i attain salvation. Baba Budda ji said that sixth Guru would offer you salvation, so i have offered him salvation. He would go to heaven. The pig was buried & a platform was constructed & named Gurudwara Damdama Sahib & also given a boon that whoever cursed does a ardaas here, his curse would go off. Whoever would offer ardaas at this place, it would be fulfilled.

After Sri Guru Arjan Sahib Ji and his family left Guru Ki Wadali to spread the message of Sikhism, Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji returned for a visit.

Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji came back to Guru Ki Wadali to visit the Sangat. Guru Ji held a diwan and took at bath at the site of Gurdwara Sri Cheharta Sahib. After the diwan Bhai Bhana asked Guru Ji to help with a troublesome wild boar. Guru Hargobind sent Painde Khan to deal with the boar. Unfortunately, the boar attacked Painde Khan who fell from his horse.

Guru Hargobind laughed and decided to personally help. The boar attacked Guru Ji, however Guru Hargobind stopped the attack with his shield. Guru Hargobind killed the boar with a single strike, when lightning came out of the boars mouth. Bhai Bhana asked Guru Ji what happened. Guru Hargobind explained that the boar was a cursed Sikh that had been liberated. The curse had been set by Bhai Bhana's father, Baba Budha.

Many years ago, Mata Ganga was on her way to see Baba Budha in order to receive his blessing. A Sikh was overly excited and criticised Baba Budha and Baba Budha asked him why he was behaving like a wild boar. The Sikh became a boar in his next life but was told beforehand that Guru Hargobind would be liberate him. The boar was buried and a platform constructed at the site of this Gurdwara. It is said that a curse is removed by those that offer an ardas at this Gurdwara.

The Gurdwara is managed by the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee through a local committee, which also controls other Historic Sikh Gurdwaras above.
