The Sixth Sikh Guru, Shri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji visited this place while travelling after the battle of Mehraj (in District Bathinda) in 1634.
The Tenth Sikh Guru, Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji halted at this place for sometime while coming back from Kurukshetra to Anandpur Sahib in 1702-1703

Gurudwara Sri Gobindgarh Sahib is situated in the Village Ranva, district. Fatehgarh Sahib. Gurudwara Sahib is situated on the main chandigarh-ludhiana road. Sri Guru HarGobind Sahib ji came here while travelling after the battle of Mehraj (Bhatinda) Sri Guru Gobind Singh ji came here, on his way back to Sri Anandpur Sahib, while coming back from Kurukshetra via nandpur kalor. Guru Sahib was coming back from Kurukshetra after the ocassion of solar eclipse.
