This Gurdwara is situated at a distance of 38 Km Northeast of Bathinda City in town Nathana.
This holy place has been blessed by the Visit of Sixth Sikh Guru, Shri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji. Guru Ji fought a battle against Lahore and Mughal armies in 1634, at a place between town Nathana and Village Maraj. The commanders of Mughal army, Lalla Beg and Qamar Beg and many Mughal soldiers got killed. 1273 Sikhs also won martyrdom. During the battle, Guru Ji had put up his tents at Nathana, where now gurdwara Gurusar Sahib is situated. The community kitchen and the arms and ammunition were also at this place. The wounded Sikh soldiers were treated at this place. A Historical place known as 'Chaukhandi' of medieval times existed here, which was always guarded by Guru Ji. Guru Ji came to this place 5 Days before the battle and went 15 Days after the battle, so Guru Ji stayed for 21 Days at this place.
A Dera of Kalu Nath also existed here. He was a devotee of Guru Ji. He served Guru Ji and Sikhs during the battle and requested to Guru Ji to grant him Sikhism. Guru Ji , accepting his request, granted Sikhism to Kalyan Nath, Ratan Nath, Sultan nath, Atak Man, Dhira Bal, Raja Ram and kalu Nath. Guru Ji gave many blessings to Kalu Nath by saying," You would have many followers, you would always follow Sikhism and you would live forever". Guru Ji blessed many people of Malwa region with Sikhism. Whosoever Prays here with pure heart, all his wished are fulfilled.
Gurudwara Sri Gurusar Sahib is situated in Village Nathana district Bathinda. Sri Guru HarGobind Sahib ji was in Village kangar when Bhai bidi chand ji brought second horse from lahore. Bhai Sahib told Guru Sahib that mughals are following him and there will surely battle with mughals. Guru Sahib discussed the situation with Rai Jodh ji and moved to mehraj as it was only place in the region with water. Guru Sahib came here from Village kangar before and after battle of Mehraj with mughals of lahore. Here lived Bhai kalu nath ji, a disciple of Guru Sahib. He served Guru Sahib and army with food and milk during the battle. After battle Guru Sahib blessed Bhai Kalu Nath ji for his help and also blessed this place.
