Gurudwara Sri Patshahi Chevin, Dhand

Gurudwara Sri Patshahi Chevin Dhand is situated in the village of Dhand in Amritsar district. It is located on the Amritsar-Gurudwara Beed Baba Budha Ji road. Bhai Langaha Ji, one of the attendants and the commander of the 6th Paatshaahi, Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji, was a resident of Dhand, Dhillon Kalan.

As Bhai Langaha Ji grew older, he retired from serving Guru Sahib and began living in Dhand. In his old age, one of his wishes was to meet Guru Sahib during his last days. He spent most of his time remembering Guru Sahib. One day, Guru Sahib decided to visit his devoted Sikh, who was too old to come to meet him. Guru Sahib arrived on his horse, met Bhai Langaha Ji, and gave him a blessing.

At this place, there was a Pippal tree where Guru Sahib tied his horse. A Gurudwara, known as Gurudwara Pipal Sahib, 6th Paatshaahi, was built to commemorate Guru Sahib’s visit. Here, Guru Sahib blessed Bhai Langaha Ji and the people of the village.
