Gurudwara Sri Patshahi Chhevin – Palahi

This Gurdwara is situated at a distance of 3 Km north of Phagwara City on Phagwara-Hoshiarpur Road in Village Palahi.

The Sixth Sikh Guru, Shri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji , after winning the battle of Kartarpur in 1635 started his journey towards Kiratpur Sahib. When Guru Ji alongwith his followers reached Village Palahi , a battle took place between Sikhs and Mughal troops which is known as ‘Battle of Phagwara’. Many Sikhs won martyrdom. The Mughal army lost the battle and ran away. The Gurdwara was constructed in the memory of Guru Ji and martyred Sikhs.
