Gurudwara Singh Sabha was the first Gurudwara in The Hague, Holland. While the Gurudwara was established in 1985, it moved to its current location in 2007. The building on the Scheepersstraat was purchased in 2006 and took 1 year of renovation to fit the Gurudwara’s purpose.
Our Gurudwara house Darbar Sahib also known as the dewan hall (prayer room) which refers to the main hall within in a Sikh Gurudwara. This hall is where the holy Scripture – the Guru Granth Sahib is placed on a throne in a prominent central position.
It also houses our Langar hall. Langar, also known as the community kitchen, is an integral part of the Gurudwara Sahib. The Langar brings the community together, eliminates caste system and serves people in need.
The Gurudwara also facilitates a Punjabi language school.
