The new building of Sri Guru Singh Sabah Gurdwara at Revesby is constructed at the cost of over two millions dollars with the grace of His Almighty and the cooperation of the Sangat. This is the first Gurdwara in Sydney and the third in Australia.
Location of Gurdwara
Revesby Gurudwara is located on 14 � 22 The River Road. The River Road is off Canterbury Road. As you are coming from Bankstown on Canterbury Road, take a left turn on The River Road. The majestic Gurdwara Building is on the right side just after the shopping complex.
The properties of 14 and 16 The River Road were bought from Sydney City Mission Centre and the Gurdwara was first opened in 1978. After four years another adjacent property, that is 18 The River Road was bought to start the Khalsa School and Guru Nanak Library. In 1982, 9 Victoria Road property on the rear side of 16 The River Road was bought to facilitate access to the Gurdwara premises from two roads and to solve the parking problem. The fifth property, 20 The River Road, was bought in 1999.
